Now, for the first time, the real-life Alex is speaking out about what she says really happened.
Despite what the Netflix series would have us believe, Wolters said that she and Kerman never had sex in prison. The only time the two were ever in the same facility was during a five-week stint in Chicago when they were both there to testify against a co-conspirator in their case. On the flight there, the two were seated together, and Wolters said Kerman refused to speak to her at all. While Kerman spent 13 months in Danbury Correctional Institution, Wolters said she served about 20 years between her time incarcerated or on parole for her involvement in the drug ring.
Also at odds with the story told on-screen is the portrait of Vause as the older lesbian who “seduced” Chapman.

I liked Piper and Zelda. I thought that was a way healthier relationship and agreed with both her dad and Larry who basically told her the same thing. Sure, it was a bit messed up, but I thought they had chemistry. Zelda was boriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing. They had to give her a billionaires apartment to make her even a breif conundrum for Piper. I actually did like Alex and Mccullough together, but only as a fling.
And it doesn’t help that I have just never liked Alex throughout this show.
