By Henry Doulton had established the name of the Doulton Lambeth art wares and set up factories making sanitary, industrial and architectural products in Rowley Regis, St. Helens and Smethwick. Within ten years he had enlarged the factory three times, built a china works, taken on the largest and most gifted group of artists in the Potteries, and developed for Doulton a reputation for craftsmanship and artistry still identified with Royal Doulton today.

Royal Doulton is a classic English brand name in tableware and ceramics with a pedigree dating back to , when John Doulton used his life’s savings to launch a partnership with Martha Jones and John Watts at a stoneware factory in Lambeth, London. Today, Royal Doulton is a world-class brand in quintessential British tableware, collectable figurines, crystal, glass and giftware. Yet it had truly down to earth origins. Royal Doulton is a well known English company famous for their intricate porcelain figurines, jugs, vases, jars and dinnerware. Over the last two centuries, ornaments by Royal Doulton have been gifted and loved by men and woman around the world. Many of the earlier pieces produced by the company are now classed as antiques meaning they are highly sought after by collectors. Featuring tones of blue and green, this vase has a raised dotted design complemented by simple flowers and leaves.

Lighter blue is painted towards the top while the rest of the vase is a darker blue. A titanian vase produced by the Royal Doulton company during that features a large colorful bird. This vase was entirely hand painted from top to bottom. The bright oranges bring out the blue colors within the bird. The oranges have been painted around the rim of the vase while the bird sits predominately on one side.
